A little something to pass the time while I shift through my bloglines, try to reply to emails and deal with the hectic life of a moving Mommy. :)

Round Up
I apologize for the computer silence. It's been a crazy week. Here are some bullet points:
* I am exhausted and my eyes are scratchy.
* That offer I mentioned last week was counter-offered, then counter-offered, then counter-offered and so on and so forth for several offers until finally the buyer's wallet didn't feel to pinched and we didn't feel like we were getting ripped off and ta da! Our house is under contract for sale. We should hopefully close on the 12th of April.
* I'M MOVING TO GEORGIA IN 2 WEEKS!!!!
* In light of the fact that we need to move, we packed up some clothes and the kids and headed up to Hot-lanta (which incidently Alison thinks is the actual name of Atlanta) for the last few days to house hunt.
*Bullet point one should be making a little more sense now. So much driving. So much childrening.
* 2 WEEKS!!!
* We found 2 houses we like and put together offers for both. We sent off our #1 offer and just found out that it's being considered and they just need a few more documents to officially approve it. That way we won't be homeless when we close on this house.
* 206 posts(!) to read on bloglines, that'll teach me not to check it for 3 days.
* Keep the Yarnival submissions coming - if you've sent a submission that has successfully found its way to me, you should have rec'd a confirmation email. If you didn't get one, email me megan(dot)tingle(at)gmail(dot)com and I'll double check. The deadline is Sunday, April 1st. :)
* My Secret Pal Hostess asked us to blog about our fav and least fav yarns. My favorite yarn is Noro Kureyon! I love the colors, I love the feel (even though it's scratchy). My lease favorite yarn is Fun Fur - I've made Ali her fair share of 'boas', but beyond that I'm done with the stuff.
* Must sleep. :)

Oops!
It has been brought to my attention that I failed to report that Wayne's birthday was on Sunday. It was. We had a nice, low-key Wayne party and gave him a big, green table saw. He had a nice day and seems to have gotten over the fact that he's closer to 30 then he was on Saturday.
Happy Birthday baby!
I promised pics of my first Secret Pal package and here they are:
She sent me some cotton (I LOVE cotton!), some DPNs, a gorgeous little tin of mints and yummy, YUMMY caramels. A trio of caramels to be exact, one kind has dark chocolate and sea salts and their a crazy, wonderful blend of salty and sweet. Delicious! THANKS PAL!!!
We've been to the park a lot this week, done a little 'boxing and enjoyed the mild weather. One of the parks we visited was Lake Eola in the heart of downtown Orlando and they've updated their playground since the last time we've visited. It's this crazy IKEA-esque playground and the girls loved it. I wish I'd taken more pictures, but here's Emily spinning in a "cup". :)
Lastly, remember how we're trying to sell our house and move to Georgia?? Last night we got an offer on the house. Not an offer we're accepting, but an offer we're counter-offering and that's something.
And keep the YARNIVAL submissions coming - they're great!

Happy Weekend!
On Saturday we attended the Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival. We hadn't planned to, but on Friday Alison and I tried to go to the yarn store and it was closed for the Festival. I had to explain to her why we weren't going in and so she decided that an Art Festival seemed like THE place for her to be.
They had an amazing Children's Art Workshop area sponsered by local museums. Alison got her art on!
In knitting news, that trip to the yarn store ended up being a trip to the other yarn store where I picked up 2 delightful balls of Karabella Yarns Aurora 8 in colorway 1581, which sadly does not have a name.
I was on the phone with a friend the other day and he told me that earlier that day he'd helped his mom shave her head 'cause her hair's been falling out from her chemo treatments. Immediately, I wanted to knit her a chemo cap.
This yarn is so buttery soft, I know it will comfort her. And it's my first cabling project and suprisingly it wasn't very difficult.
Totally unrelated, have you seen this?? Start 'em young. :)
To Michelle from the comments, I bought that onesie at SuperTarget. It was on an endcap near the baby cup aisle, not with the clothes. And it was only $2.50!
Also, there's been some talk in the Megaknits household about Mrs Megaknits getting herself more freelance work. Mrs Megaknits has a few prospects which she is hopeful about, but she is also terribly nervous. Cross your fingers.
And last, but certainly not least, I got my first package from my Secret Pal today!!! Thanks Pal!!! Pics tomorrow.

`,~`,~`YARNIVAL`~,`~,`
Hooray! It's time to submit your articles for the April Issue of Yarnival!
I am so excited to be editing this issue of Yarnival! The Yarnival blog carnival was started by Eve of Needle Exchange and showcases great blogs and posts including essays, reviews and finished objects. It's a great way to find new 'lines' and get out of Bloglines rut. :) Plus it's like a great knitting magazine that you don't have to pay $7 for and then hate later.
Previous issues can be checked out here: Issue 1, Issue 2 - hosted by Eve, Issue 3 - hosted by Cara over at January One, Issue 4 - hosted by Jule at Fricknits, Issue 5 - hosted by Carole of Caroleknits, Issue 6 - hosted by the Purloined Letter and Issue 7 - soon to be released by NotScarlett (looks like tomorrow is the day.)
NOW ACCEPTING SUBMISSIONS FOR YARNIVAL ISSUE 8!
To submit a blog post, USE THE SUBMISSION FORM. DO NOT leave your submission in the comments. DO NOT email me your submissions. SUBMISSIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED BY FORM ONLY. The deadline to submit is April 1st. The issue will appear on this blog April 15th.
Remember, ANYONE can submit, regardless of how long they've been blogging or how long they've been involved with the fiber arts. Send in your best blog post! It can be funny, sad, educational - I don't care - as long as it's entertaining, well written, interesting and has something to do with the fiber arts.
Hooray!

300!
No, you didn't miss a whole lot of posts, I'm talking about the movie.
It was STUNNING! I'm a sucker for visual stimulation and this movie did not dissapoint. I don't want to spoil it for anyone so I'll stop now, but it's really beautiful.
---
And keep the comments coming, the deadline is going to be Monday at 10PM. :)

200!
With the help of NaBloPoMo I have speedily made it to my 200th post! Hooray!
Tell you what, leave a comment and I'll carve you your very own knitting or crocheting stamp. I'm not an amazing stamp carver, but it'll be cute. :)
---
Alison and I are in a letterboxing frenzy! Today we planted a series of 4 boxes in some of our favorite places. We've also logged 5 finds since starting earlier this week. Hooray again!
Wanna find our boxes?? You can view the clue here: http://www.atlasquest.com/lboxes/showboxinfo.html?gBoxId=33908

New Knitty
The new Knitty is up!! Here's what I think ('cause I know you care) I'd like to make eventually. :)
bmp: How awesome are these socks??? How awesome is Aija for designing it?? If I ever get an itch for stranded colorwork and small needles together, this is going to be the pattern I pick.
Ester: Very cute. It looks very complicated though - I'd need quite a bit of knitting alone time.
Monica: Come on, you know I've already bought the yarn. Just kidding, but I'll certainly be knitting one, if not two, of these little babies.
Hey Mickey!: So fine! I'll probably reserve this one for Emily, 'cause Ali is very tall.
Vestee: Cute! Maybe someone will make a boy baby in my world soon. Aileen??
Dashing: Wayne says real men don't wear fingerless gloves. Wayne has also lived in Florida his whole life, so he could be misinformed.
Queen of Cups: I like this pattern. I have no explanation. I just like it.
Quill Lace: I like anklets. I like knitting socks on 2 circs. I like repeating patterns. I could knit these.
Clessidra: Fancy! I wouldn't wear them, but they are flouncy, flouncy!

Grab Bag (w/ Pictures!)
I've been knitting a little bit everyday on the Janet Shawl. It's not growing very quickly 'cause I seem to be doing a lot of knitting and then un-knitting. No big mistakes yet, but the directions keep getting longer for each pattern repeat and now there are parentheses involved!
I got a beautiful gift from Maggie, it's hand-dyed sock yarn. I can't wait to knit it up, but at the rate Aileen's makeup socks are going, it'll be awhile.
Alison and I have embarked into the world of letterboxing and we LOVE it!! On Tuesday, we set out to find our first box on Tuesday and couldn't even find the right trail at the park. I thought Alison was going to lose interest and we'd be finished before we even got started. Instead, she suprised me and asked if we could get more clues and try again.
And Wednesday we sucessfully found our first box. Today we found 2 more! We were going to find 4, but the first two were down this crazy trail that was comprised of sand, sand and more sand. After pushing the stoller over a mile, we gave up and started back. Ali and I decided to go back another day without Emily and just walk it.
The other two boxes were a fun find though. My little scream-at-a-bug, never-touch-dirt princess was climbing around trees and digging thru leaves. I was very impressed. I didn't get any pics while we were out 'boxing, but here's one of Alison and her log book. :)
Wanna go letterboxing at your house?? You can get tons of start-up info here.
Scout started her tattoo meme and I didn't want to miss out. My tattoo is just over 5 years old and can be found on my right side, going up my ribs. I did a video editing job right before our wedding and they paid me in cash, a lot of cash. Wayne and I couldn't resist using it to go get matching tattoos. He has my name on his chest over his heart.
