They had an amazing Children's Art Workshop area sponsered by local museums. Alison got her art on!
In knitting news, that trip to the yarn store ended up being a trip to the other yarn store where I picked up 2 delightful balls of Karabella Yarns Aurora 8 in colorway 1581, which sadly does not have a name.
I was on the phone with a friend the other day and he told me that earlier that day he'd helped his mom shave her head 'cause her hair's been falling out from her chemo treatments. Immediately, I wanted to knit her a chemo cap.
This yarn is so buttery soft, I know it will comfort her. And it's my first cabling project and suprisingly it wasn't very difficult.
Totally unrelated, have you seen this?? Start 'em young. :)
To Michelle from the comments, I bought that onesie at SuperTarget. It was on an endcap near the baby cup aisle, not with the clothes. And it was only $2.50!
Also, there's been some talk in the Megaknits household about Mrs Megaknits getting herself more freelance work. Mrs Megaknits has a few prospects which she is hopeful about, but she is also terribly nervous. Cross your fingers.
And last, but certainly not least, I got my first package from my Secret Pal today!!! Thanks Pal!!! Pics tomorrow.
