I was happily completing the heel on my second & sock when something seemed weird. I hadn't bothered to look at the pattern after starting the heel flap because I KNOW how to knit socks. Done them to death.
Until I picked up the heel stitches and started the gusset without turning the actual heel. No w&t's for me!
I think this is going to be a nightmare to rip back . . .
